My car was repossessed, which is actually a relief because it was a lemon, but they are refusing to let me ?

call the company that towed it, they might let you come down and get your stuff.

They are not allowed to keep your property ! While they are legally entitled to reclaim their car, they are not entitled to keep any of your property – even if it was inside the car.
List everything of your property, present it to the repo company and give them a time limit (in writing) for them to return your stuff.
If they refuse to give your stuff back – Take them to court to force them to return your property !

You should be able to get your personal belongings. You said it was a relief, do you realize after they sell the car if there is any balance on the loan they will come after you for the difference.

they are not allowed to hold your personal stuff. if the bank had it repossed then talk to the loan officer. they can,t keep your belongings.
