Lemon laws are designed to protect buyers of new cars from serious, chronic defects. Lemon laws do not cover poor maintenance, neglect, or abuse. This is why lemon laws don't cover used vehicles. You signed a contract and can't give it back. This car is not covered under lemon laws. You bought it, you have to pay for it – it’s that simple. Your best bet is to sell it and get something else instead of putting more $$$ into it. You'll only get an argument and misery from the dealer who sold it to you. If you feel like you have to fight this one, put a large sign on the car, "I bought this lemon from...." and park it in front of the dealer. Maybe then they will talk to you about a substitute.
